Presstimator BHR Standard vs. Power Edition
The basic edition provides All-Inclusive BHRs for each cost
center.
PE provides Direct Cost and Manufacturing Cost rates in addition.
When using the QuickCheck pro forma estimating tool, PE users can
choose any of these rates. The basic version restricts the user to
the A-I rate.
Users may choose 4 productivity factors for ALL cost centers in the
basic version. PE allows users to set 4 factors for EACH cost center.
If PE users have cost centers that are used infrequently, or are not
as productive as others, they will not be restricted to 4 factors.
For example, if a user wants to see rates at 85%, 80%, 75% and 70%,
but has cost centers that run at 30% or 50% productivity, the basic
version will not provide the flexibility to use these 6 factors.
PE users may override the calculated Available Hours in the Cost
Center screens, allowing them to disregard Productivity Factors
altogether. This feature is particularly handy for those plants that
have track time either manually or with data collection devices. If
the user knows that a cost center is available 4,096 hours per year,
but that the company generally bills 3,300 hours for that cost
center, the users may enter "3,300" in the Available Hours box and
the module will use that figure to calculate the BHRs for that cost
center.
PE has Electrical Usage boxes in the Cost Center screens. Users may
enter each machine's kilowatt rating or the number of kilowatt hours
consumed by each machine and the program will allocate electrical
costs based on these entries.
PE can be easily upgraded to the integrated version which provides
XML exporting and importing capabilities. The basic version would
require an upgrade.
